Sponsor a child
Since 1963, Volontariat at Uppalam, Pondicherry, helped many children from the lowest economic level to have a better chance in life than their parents. It has been possible, thanks to a Sponsorship programme organized by the Association and the helping committees in France and Belgium.
At the beginning, the families were staying in poor places of Oupalam, today Pondicherry increases its population a lot, so the children
Volontariat takes into account the basic needs of the child:
A daily well-balanced meal, if the school is not too far from our Centre
The school uniform and the school fees,
The evening classes for homework help
Health follow-up and payment for medicines and hospitalization,
All extra-curricular activities: music (drums, trumpet, flute, etc), classical dance (Bharata Natyam) and folk dances, songs, Yoga, Taekwondo and Karate, holiday camps, etc.
The Sponsorship programme definitely opens the door for a better future.
